Interview with PC Leadership Candidate Christine Elliott
Christine Elliott’s candidacy is in many ways refreshing. When speaking with her both on and off camera it was very easy to get a real sense that she has a desire to help everyday Ontarians and the province as a whole. As a candidate she has demonstrated a boldness that is admirable and developed a platform of ideas that in many ways isn’t ideological. In politics, regardless of party, this fairly unique and for those who vote on issues, it has the potential to be engaging. For more on her campaign visit. www.votechristine.ca
One of the aspects I enjoy about covering a leadership race I cannot vote in, is an ability and a desire to treat all candidates fairly, while generating positive original content for others to form their opinions on. This was the first interview I conducted as part of the PC Leadership coverage, expect the others to be similar, but tailored to the individuality of each candidate and their campaign. We will have a second interview to post either Friday night or Saturday at some point.
Below is my interview with her, and for those out there who blog – the embed code for your use on your website, something I genuinely hope you take advantage of.

Tim Hudak has a good mix of youthfulness and experience. Speaking with him you get a real sense of the sincerity he brings to his work as an MPP and his belief that he is seeking his party’s leadership for the right reasons. Many have said that Hudak is a second generation Harris, but it is clear in speaking to him and hearing his ideas for his party and Ontario that he is his own man.
I have to say that Tim Hudak threw me a bit when we were speaking both on and off camera because it was clear he wasn’t going to wait until the next election to start helping or at least trying to help to shape government policy. That is unusual for a partisan, but should he become leader, it could be good for politics in Ontario.
