[...] I continue to think the involvement of the Provincial Liaison Team in monitoring the activities of Wind Concerns Ontario is unwarranted and a form of intimidation, a use of force by the Premier to intimidate opposition just as it was when his body guards threatened to arrest me the first time I planned a protest at a Liberal fundraiser, not withstanding their legal argument couldn’t hold for an hour when I called local campus police on them seeking redress (for more read my account of what happened that night here.)
John:
So very well done. I'm so sorry this happened when I was unable to be part of the protest.

I thought this would be a 'gathering' about wind concerns. It has turned into an instance of the premier hiding from democracy. Even I'm surprised...

Thank you for (a) knowing your rights and (b) standing your ground. Most of us would have backed off grumbling, not knowing what else to do. Well done!

I guess the Liberal Party of Ontario has special privileges, which include suspending the rights of other citizens. Well done John, for not allowing them to get away with this.

Congratulations John and thank you. Dalton needs more of this and no matter where he goes he should be facing more of this or Ontario will crumble in it's ability to harbour safe and healthy communities. People cannot be treated as expendable collateral any longer.

Policies must surround the needs of people first, if this was done we would have clean water, clean air, wise use of resources and healthy communities and the the need for a Green Energy Act would disappear.

Congratulations WCO. The new president handled last night's "protest" very well. Prof. Kenneth McNaught (U of T) had a similar issue with campus free speech in the 1930's. He would be cheering today.
However, I don't think we should ascribe the actions of the police to Dalton himself, just yet. May I suggest a polite letter to him requesting clarification on his views on freedom of speech and democracy?? He can give different direction to his body guards. Maybe he will follow up with a beer party at Queen's Park (see White House resident, Obama)
