CKNX AM 920 Talk Show Addressing The Green Energy Act and Wind Power in Ontario
I had the opportunity to appear on air with Bryan Allen and Ron Stephens to discuss Premier McGuinty’s proposed Green Energy Act and the wind industry in Ontario more broadly on CKNX AM 920. AM 920 is broadcast in Midwestern Ontario in the counties of Bruce, Grey, Huron, Perth and Wellington. The segment is about 45 minutes and can be downloaded off the Wind Concerns Ontario website by clicking here. (The file is approximately 10.1MB and plays in Windows Media Player.
Midwestern Ontario is an area that has seen a number of wind projects installed. There are a number of proposed projects and it is home to some of the reported health affects resulting from wind turbines. I am heartened to see residents across the province understand how poorly thought out the Green Energy Act is and recognize that it is a bad day for democracy should this bill ever pass.
Below is a two part interview with Barbara Ashbee whose family has been negatively impacted by a wind project built around her home. She lives near the Melancthon Phase I Wind Turbines, about 6 KM from Shelburne Ontario.

I hope this interview will be a wake up call for all Ontarians. I don’t think people realize that if McGuinty gets the Green Energy Act passed, the general public and municipalities will have no input as to where windfarms are located. If a windfarm is installed close to your property and you suffer ill effects, too bad, you will just have to accept a buyout and move. The wind industry will essentially be self-regulating. Congratulations to you John and to Ron Stevens for stating the case for all of us. Hopefully, people will start to listen before it is too late. Wish I could attend the meeting on the 20th in Walkerton. Hope you get a good attendance.

Great radio show, John. You and the other participants had my rapt attention. Everyone expressed very eloquently the folly of what McGuinty and the wind lobby are doing. I felt very sad for the lady in the YouTube videos. I wonder if you can bring litigation against your own government?

Way to go John! Excellent interview! I’m glad you are speaking out against the government’s evil plans. I checked out OSEA’s (Ontario Sustainable Energy Association) website and found that the Ministry of Energy and the Toronto Atmospheric Fund are funding them. OSEA is part of the Green Energy Act Alliance. This is a loop. The Ontario government is funding the Green Energy Act Alliance to lobby them to bring in the Green Energy Act. Also, Marion Fraser, who’s out on OSEA’s Green Energy Act roadshow, was a senior policy advisor to the minister of energy from 2003-2008. Just one big happy family. Isn’t this collusion?
