Thank you Jeremy Flynn!

I’d like to start my first post by thanking Jeremy Flynn of www.flynnweb.com for his hard work and patience in doing all things technical to get laforet.ca online. The site is, and will always be a work in progress. Over the next little while I will add items to the archives, and provide the stories I would like to share, stories that were in large part the driving force behind my desire to see this site created.

I have been touched by many of the experience I’ve had largely since 2006 when I made the decision to run for public office in Toronto’s Ward 43. Many of the opportunities I am fortunate to have had during and since seeking office, have deeply touched me and to some degree changed my outlook, re-enforced my optimism and commitment to be involved in my community in a meaningful way. I see this site as an opportunity to talk about issues of great importance to me, events happening in our community and initiatives of interest to me.

I was intending my next post to be one of the stories I would like to share from my time immediately after the 2006 municipal election, but instead Stephane Dion’s Green Shift will very likely be the subject my next post instead. I do not intend on commenting regularly on partisan politics, but do believe the announcement today on what is arguably the most important issue of our time, is certainly comment worthy.

Thank-you Mr. Laforet for your kind words.

You were very patient and helpful throughout the entire process; going above and beyond your responsibilities as the client. It has been a pleasure working with you and I look forward to the potential for a continuing working relationship in the future.

I hope you enjoy the site and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks again, and best of luck!
